Prepared fresh daily in our kitchen from an old recipe smuggled out of Juarez by Pancho Villa’s bodyguard. Offered in hot, mild or mixed!

Traditional Nachos
Tortilla chips topped with re-fried beans, cheese and jalapenos, garnished with lettuce and tomato. Baked! Available to go unbaked only.

Gringo Nachos
Tortilla chips topped with a mess of shredded lettuce, tomato, melted cheese, chili, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, & jalapenos. Far from authentic, but very good!

Loco Coconut Shrimp
Seven shrimp lightly battered and dredged in coconut. Deep fried and served with amaretto dipping sauce.

Frit-o Pie
We split open a bag of Fritos and load it with chili, onions and sour cream. A southwest favorite!

Guacamole Dip & Tortilla Chips
Avocados, tomatoes, onions, and spices blended to creamy perfection.

Spicy Hot Chicken Wings
Prepared in our own unique hot sauce that bears no resemblance to that wimpy stuff from Buffalo! Served in a fresh tortilla basket.

Chili
The best this side of Mexico City! Bowl with cheese, beef, or both served with cornbread.

Chili Con Queso
A Mexican blend of cheeses and mild chilies served fondue style with chips. Add Mexican sausage.

Gazpacho
A cool, crunchy blend of diced vegetables in a tomato based broth.

Frijoles with Chips
Baked re-fried beans and cheese.

BBQ Chicken Nachos
Tortilla chips smothered and baked with savory shredded chicken, BBQ sauce and cheese. Topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and more BBQ sauce.

Cactus Flower

Flat’s own tribute to The King! Fresh ground beef with jalapenos and onions grilled to your liking and topped with chili. Served with rice or fries.

Ensalada Mexicana

Creole Chicken Sandwich

THE BAR

Tequila
To be the best at what we do, we have to listen to our customers. It seems, however, that no one can ever agree on which tequila is best. Therefore, to prevent this
argument from getting out of hand, we have simply decided to stock every quality tequila we can find. With over 35 of them, we’re sure to have one to suit every taste. Just look to the bar for your favorite, or let us make suggestions.

Cervezas
Did you know that Mexico is the second largest beer producer in the world? It is, and we consider it our responsibility to stock every cerveza from Mexico and Latin America that we can get our hands on. Ask your server for suggestions.

Vino de la Casa
Let’s face it. Mexico is not exactly famous for their wines; but some of their not-so-distant cousins are! We always stock a selection of fine Spanish and Chilean wines.

What you should know about our food...

Peppers, some mild and some very hot, along with tomatoes are some of the primary ingredients in our cooking. You will find them combined with a variety of other ingredients to create a great assortment of dishes. If you are unfamiliar with Mexican, southern or south-western cuisine, check out these descriptions:

Salsa
At Tortilla Flats we make our salsas fresh daily. The mild salsa is a zesty mixture of tomatoes, peppers, onions and spices.

Hot Salsa
A strong, pepper based sauce with tomatoes, onions and spices. Don’t let the green color fool you… this is hot! And we can make it even hotter by request.

Guacamole
A traditional dip made from fresh mashed avocados, onions, tomatoes, spices and lime juice.

Refried Beans
Pinto beans that are cooked until tender, then mashed, spiced and re-fried before serving.

Tortilla
The tortilla is Mexican bread. It is flat and round, and made of either corn or wheat flour.

Tortilla Chips
Made from soft corn tortillas that are cut into six pieces and fried until golden. At Tortilla Flats the first job of the day is to make the chips.

Enchilada Sauce
A thin sauce served over enchiladas and accompanying tacos. We offer mild red and spicy green.

Tomatillo Sauce
The tomatillo is a strange but tasty cousin of the tomato and pepper. At Tortilla Flats, we crush them and add spices to create a spectacular sauce to pour over burritos or even use as a salad dressing.

Pico de Gallo
A chunky salsa made from fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos and cilantro.

Étouffée
In Creole, étouffée means “smothered in sauce.” Ours is a traditional onion, pepper and celery-based sauce.
